LOST in CODE

.about

My name is David Storey and this is my website. It used to be primarily for distributing my mobile phone games but I've recently extended it to showcase some of the other stuff that I'm up to, mostly relating to web-technologies. During the day I'm the resident codehead at the eLearning branch of the publishing branch of a large provider of professional education. It's not as dull as it sounds (but it ain't international espionage either). By night I like to play and develop games, do a bit of web design and generally tinker about with code.

I stay in Scotland, not far from Edinburgh. I graduated in 2004 from Heriot-Watt University with an Honours in Computer Science, spent a year and bit drifting along, working in the bookies before ending up where I am now - although I've managed to make my job 'evolve' substantially since I started.

My non-computer related interests are movies (and that's not just, I like movies as in it's something to put on my CV - I live and breath movies) and experiment a bit with electronic music.

I'm always happy to hear from people who've enjoyed playing my games, been inspired to have a go at writing something themselves and looking for advice or even just found a bug or have an idea for improvement - you can get my e-mail adderss in the top right of the screen there.

My current vices:

  • Dawn of War: Dark Crusade
  • Explosions in the Sky
  • Bishop Allen
  • Prime Suspects
  • AIR
